Circa 1860's, an antique Victorian heart shaped locket backed pendant set with a dramatic blood red droplet shaped cabochon of Pyrope Garnet with is backed onto foil for extra glow!
The design follows the Mediaevalist Gothic Revival mood at the time, rich with meaning and you'll see from our images that the Garnet has a natural inclusion crossing the whole stone and creating a jagged fracture (this is entirely stable). We may be sentimental but allow us to feel this allows an extra level of interpretation and could symbolise somewhat a broken heart...
Metal: 15ct Gold (tested but not marked)
Measures 1.5cm lengthwise.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
