An especially lovely and symbolic antique Silver locket, freehand engraved with a central Rose (for LOVE) framed by beautiful Ferns (for sincerity), a charming choice for a special and significant occasion. Gilded to the inside and retaining both of the original frames to keep your precious photographs safe, this piece would have been worn with great pride in her day.
Fully hallmarked to the reverse at Birmingham in 1881 by the firm of John Reading and Sons of Vyse Street in the famous jewellery quarter of Birmingham.
Measures 4.5cm lengthwise not including the bale.
