Circa 1880's, a very special antique locket and matching collarette chain, all original and in great condition. Newly re-gilded in 18ct yellow Gold, this is a base metal piece but very nicely crafted and just immensely eye-catching! High Victorian Gothic, the cut out cypher 'IMO' meaning 'In Memory Of', was most likely a mourning piece and would make a fabulous trophy for a collector.
The large locket can be worn at two lengths; on the extended drop, or higher up on the first of the two large bolt ring clasps. Also, the collarette can be worn on its own or with any favourite pendant. Ultimate versatility!
The locket measures two inches by one and a half inches and contains the original frame. The chain measures 17 inches and the extender measures 1.5 inches.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
