Dating to the 1870's/80's and likely of American origin, this distinctive oblong Sardonyx signet ring is a really unusual design. In 14ct yellow Gold, the shoulders are hand engraved with a geometric design and the whole has a striking symmetry which elongates the finger. The central panel of russet Sardonyx is layered so that it can be carved with an intaglio and the paler layer would show through. Inside the band is hand engraved 'E.A.M', a nice personal touch which adds to the history and interest. So lovely to give a home to such an individual piece. The ring size is an 'S' or '9', but can be adjusted to suit. Just leave a message on your order form.
