Antique 18ct Gold Dendritic Agate Signet Ring

Circa 1900, an antique unisex signet or seal ring in an Arts and Crafts style setting with decorative bezel and shoulders harking back to Roman fashions and presenting the stone to best effect. The gentle oval is flat cut with a softly autumn colourway and the 18ct Gold itself has a beautiful olden patina which adds to the antique charm and adds that wink of ancient style to your everyday. A ring size 'Q' or '8' we could alter a little for fit. 

'Dendrite Agate is translucent to an opaque member of the agate family that is characterized by inclusions of branch-like dendrites. It comes from the Greek word for ‘tree-like are inclusions that appear organic due to their plant-like structure. It can assist those involved in conservation projects. It’s grounding and calming energy keeps us connected to the Earth and our own roots for our growth.

They are basically inorganic parts of iron or manganese. The iron and manganese ions are abating access to the forming stone as weathering solutions from neighboring rock. The adulteration crystallizes inside the agate in branching formations seeping through fine surface fractures. In some cases, dendrite inclusions may form in spotted clusters rather than branching structures.'
