Circa 1810, and so immensely charming! A beautiful historic piece of 'souvenir' style jewellery which would have been so fashionable at the time of it's creation. Endearingly fashioned all by hand, there are five different carvings of natural peachy coloured Coral cherubs or 'Putti' in an elaborate design of fine cannetille goldwork, all in 15ct gold. A rare piece with so much to enjoy in the delicacy of the design and it's everso clever construction, and a wonder it has survived these two centuries
This precious beauty is neatly sized too at just over an inch by an inch.
There is a lead repair to the section close to the pin, where the gold plate shows.
