A Pair of Antique Silver Charm Bangles

Item #07611

The giving of a Silver coin is often seen as a good luck charm, and during the Victorian era there was a fashion for wearing these coins which were often given on the birth of a child (sometimes engraved with initials, but in this case not) on Silver bangles. This jangly collection of thruppenny bits date to 1874, 1887 and 1897 with three differing portraits of Queen Victoria. The bangles themselves are pressed with a shiny hobnail style faceting and the collection could easily be added to to create a unique and personal jewel.

The bangles measure 6.5cm across and are an average size.
