Compellingly beautiful and in a design which seems to be unique to the time, this charming old jewel dates to around the 1830's. The design features five creamy lustred wild Pearls (we know this because there were no Cultured Pearls at the time) accented by the purple sparks of tiny Amethysts on a fancy raised gallery with a lavish Rococo carved band. In rich 18ct yellow gold, the whole is ornamented quite beautifully, with a richness reflective of the fashion for intense decoration and heavy velvets, purple (or Mauveine) being a beloved and sought after colour. The ring size is a 'P' or '7.5' and we may be able to alter a wee bit for size.
