In very lovely condition, an especially attractive antique watch styled Gold locket, fully hand engraved with trailing leafery and, to one side a garter and buckle symbolising an unbreakable bond; and to the other a central shield with the tiny initials 'MEP'. Opening to reveal the original glass it could feasibly function as a family locket holding four images. Of mellow 9ct yellow Gold with pretty scalloped shaping, this is quite a substantial piece and measures 3cm by 2.5cm. Of traditional 'back and front' construction with the mechanics being of shiny brass, the shape is beautifully ovalled to feel comforting in the hand (as all good lockets should).
