All old jewels have stories to tell and we have some clues as to hers; a Continental traveller, this old Rose cut Diamond ring has origins perhaps in Poland, has lived some time in France and now resides with us in our little shop on the south coast. We can be sure of this as on the back of the 18ct yellow gold band are the French import marks for 18ct gold and silver used between 1893-1970.
The design is unusually pretty on the hand, nicely low in profile and sympathetic to the eye the twisting silver design set with old, old rose cut Diamonds whose cutting predates the ring. Each of these Diamonds is unique and although fairly crudely cut this antique style has much charm and curiosity.
A ring size 'N.5' or '7', but adjustment is easy and free.
