A Victorian original, this antique locket is in a fab shield shape which is mounted with a red Jasper spattered dark green Bloodstone. Fully engraved with a beautiful design encompassing Roses (for LOVE) and scrollwork. Dating to around the 1870's it expresses the craze for all things sentimental and inside, it opens to hold two photographs and the original frame. In the 'back and front' style the frame and hinges are of brass for strength, the front and backs of 9ct yellow Gold. There has been a repair to the reverse where the original engraver has broken through the Gold when making the central oval of the design. We have priced with this in mind, it doesn't interfere with continued use and enjoyment of this old jewel.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
