Dating to the 1880's this antique Silver locket has a sentimental message hidden in the meaning behind the striking emblem to the frontispiece; AEI stands for 'Amity, Eternity, Infinity' (taken from the Greek αεί meaning 'always' or 'ever') and symbolising never ending love, a fitting one for such a personal piece of jewellery. The frontispiece is created in a hand pierced and hand engraved fashion and is very typical of the Gothic styling of the period.
It opens to hold two photographs, (showing one original image of a young boy) complete with both frames and measures an inch and a half without the bale.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
