Dedicated with a hand engraving to 'William Pitt ob 20th Dec 1829 aet 51', sadly not either of the famous ones and a gentleman whom we can find no trace so far. Forgotten to time, the Rococo styled band of 18ct yellow Gold is enamelled in a gorgeous Gothic font with 'IN MEMORY OF' (there is some damage to the enamel at the point of the first 'M').
Fully hallmarked to 1829 in London and also showing the maker's mark for Thomas Gaunt clearly inside the band alongside a lovely clear head of George iv. A ring size 'U' or '10.5' no alteration is possible.
