A wonderfully gothic styled antique signet ring which would have been worn as a striking and very personal memento to love. Inscribed inside the band are the dates of passing of two members of the same family; 'S Page 1854 and E Page 1857' to each side of a glassed compartment. 'IN MEMORY OF' is carved around the crown of the handsome cross shaped Banded Agate centrepiece and this has tiny remnants of it's original black enamel as do the decorative elements to the hand carved shoulders. In 18ct gold which was assayed in 1853 and stamped with the maker's mark of Edward Dunwoody Wilmott of Hockley in Birmingham. A ring size 'P' or '7.5' and no adjustment is possible.
