Unusual Date 1895 Victorian Silver Stamp Holder Locket
A neat little late Victorian silver stamp holder or locket, nicely fully hallmarked for Chester 1895. This piece would perhaps originally have been worn on a chatelaine or watch chain and used to hold your secret stash of stamps for sending those important love letters to your sweetheart! Nowadays we feel it would make a perfect pocket for any precious ephemera; pictures, pressed flowers or notes which you like to keep close and treasure.
It measures just over an inch and is exquisitely hand engraved, with a blank cartouche for your initials. So sweet!
