An incredible tour de force in Filigree work. this especially beautiful and intricately detailed antique Diamond ring most likely hails from the United States, the undisputed champions of this style of work. The centre gem is a lovely old 'European cut' Diamond (measuring around 0.10ct) with those much desired proportions designed to enhance sparkliness. Circa 1910-20's, the leafy laciness forming this fabulous jewel is entirely hand engraved and astonishingly, hand pierced (each tiny decorative section cut out by hand) by a very clever craftperson. The hours this must have taken! Most usually these pieces were formed from a mold and then tidied up by hand.
On a band of 14ct yellow Gold, the wonderful detailing continues to hand engraved prettiness on the shoulders. The ring size is a 'P' or '7.5' but could easily be altered to suit the lucky new owner.
