Nicely weighty, a fabulous slinky vintage statement chain in 9ct Gold chain necklace with an unusual link style, fully hallmarked on the clasp for London, 1977, the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The link is commonly known as barleycorn, it is reminiscent of stationery staples linked together - but who uses 9ct Gold staples? The height of fashion in it's day, the gleam of Gold was very much a look! Cleverly made, with a sinuous feel and measuring 24 inches, this 1970's chain could be worn on its own, or perhaps with a pendant to add that vintage cachet to a contemporary style. The weight is 15 grams.
