A treasured personal tribute from an age when loss could be worn more publicly, this charmingly quaint cross with it's beautifully plaited hair insert would have been a physical reminder held close so that the loved one so fondly mourned could be always kept present. The inscription etched in the gorgeous 15ct gold mount reads 'AET May 23 1866', but sadly any further details are lost to time, a poignant reminder of our mortality.
