A splendid pair of vintage Pearl and Diamond earrings in the Continental style with 'back to front' fittings. A classic style which compliments every outfit, bringing that 'chic' look which they are known for, the lustrous Pearls are Cultured Saltwater, and surrounded by twelve glimmery olden hand faceted 'Rose' Diamonds which would have been salvaged at the time of making from some other jewel as was oft the way. If you look closely you'll see the cute triangularity and height of the old style of faceting which makes these such dear little gems.
These are handmade, and nicely so being of sturdy construction in 18ct yellow Gold, the 'back to front' fixings which are common to the Continent fasten at the front of the ear, behind the top Diamond and are simple to affix once you have the knack. The Pearls measure 6.5mm across and the whole rosette just over 1cm.
