A blessed antique Diamond engagement ring dating to around 1900 and in a romantic design of a simple band with a scalloped floral design around the gorgeous sparkly old Diamond. The old cushion shaped Diamond we judge to weigh around 0.35ct and was hand cut and has both individuality and charm, retaining a natural beauty which we feel is superior to that of modern Diamonds; the rounded profile, deep pavilion and distinctive 'culet' are features which are unique to these old gems. The metal is all softly golden 18ct Gold and this is stamped inside the band alongside the mark of Henry Griffith and Sons Ltd of Warwickshire, and this style of mark is that registered at Chester in 1899, but unfortunately the date stamp has been removed during a historic re-sizing. The ring size is a 'P' or '7.5' but could easily be adjusted to suit. We do so for free, so if ordering online just leave us a message on checkout.
