Dating to the 1920's or so, this all original and hand crafted Ruby and Diamond cluster ring is soooo special!! The cushion shaped hand faceted old Ruby is most likely untreated and of Burmese origin having quite the brightest Fuschia pink vibrancy, framed by fourteen glittery olden hand cut Diamonds which have been re-used in the making of this ring. A delight from every aspect but especially so for ethical reasons as it is at least the third time around for these old Diamonds!
The setting to the gems is finely crafted with a beaded Platinum edge, all prettily scalloped and carefully balanced upon an 18ct yellow Gold split band with the prettiest Fleur de Lys details at the shoulders. Inside the band is the original makers mark for S Blanckensee and Sons of Frederick Street in Birmingham, with a hallmark for '750' and '950' applied latterly. The cluster measures half an inch across so makes a glamorous statement on the hand.
We judge the Ruby to weigh in the region of 0.60ct and the combined weight of the Diamonds at around 0.70ct.
