Doubtless a unique and very beautiful creation; this fabulously understated but striking Platinum filigree armorial ring features a cute rampant Lion facing 'sinister' or right which is unusual as in heraldry the Lion usually faces left, and we've not been able to find the crest in Fairburn's directory. The fearful but protective beast holds a shield with ' a broad stripe or' fess', both studded with Diamonds; Lions traditionally symbolise courage, nobility, strength, stateliness and justice.
We have no idea of the history of this incredible jewel... we imagine it is an American piece as this style of fine filigree design to the setting was a speciality circa 1900-1940's. The small Diamonds which continue to the lacy shoulders, pack a powerfully fizzy sparkle and they too are older hand cut stones; the whole being a fabulous creation by a skilled and imaginative hand. This is a ring to wear with care and thought, as it has been so made.
The ring size is an 'M' or 6.25' but could easily be altered to suit if you leave a message on your order form.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
