A fine antique Seed Pearl ring, fully hallmarked for Birmingham and dateable to 1897. In a design influenced by historical jewels which were so treasured at the time, it features a row of six split natural Seed Pearls, artistically claw set in a rectangular panel of framed by Gold borders and set off by a Greco/Roman style Acanthus motif on each side of the setting, leading down to the main part of the 18ct yellow Gold band. It should be noted that Pearls are supposed to represent wisdom gained through experience, and signify the owner's integrity! The ring is currently sized at a 'P', or US '7 and a half', but could be adjusted in our workshop, and included in the price.
