An adorable strand of scarce vintage (likely Lake Biwa) freshwater mussel Pearls. These lustrous beauties are baroque in shape, each having it's own unique colour and structure, the creamy colour is naturally flattering to the kin and gives a wondrous glow. Freshwater Pearls have been cultured in Lake Biwa, Kyoto, Japan since the early 20th century but this production ceased in the 1980's due to disease and so these are not often seen nowadays.
The strand measures 18 inches and fastens with a silver and marcasite clasp. We have had these freshly re-strung. Graduated in size, the largest Pearl measures 7mm and the smallest 2.5mm.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
