Entirely unique, this mesmerisingly pretty Diamond flowerette ring is a very different take on a timeless and popular theme; the flower always symbolising romance and LOVE.
Spanning centuries and with a story which we only know a portion of, her life began in the 17th century when the incredible centrepiece hand faceted 'Peruzzi' style Diamond was skilfully brought to sparkle possibly in the workshops of Venice where new techniques were influencing cutting styles; and because of the age it is therefore almost certain that these Diamonds originate in the early Indian mines, a source of beautifully clean and white gems. Very desirable and full of story.
A Peruzzi is a antique diamond cut that is extremely rare and unique. The stone is similar to an old mine cut diamond, it is considered to be one of the first brilliant cut diamonds developed in the 17th century.
At this time the stones would have had a life in another article of jewellery: perhaps an extravagant brooch or ring as only the very wealthiest could afford such a rarefied item; there is so much to be explored... Framing the central Peruzzi cut and set to the 'petals' are six further olden hand faceted natural Diamonds; each a unique and interesting creation all its own with characteristically irregular surfaces reflecting a glinty glitter so different to that of modern laser cut stones.
Spin forward three centuries and the fine beaded Platinum setting in which the Diamonds are now seated dates to around 1910 and was the second home (or that we know of) of these exquisitely fine and brilliant antique Diamonds.
As you see them now; the latest incarnation of this piece was finished in our workshop when we added a modest White Gold band to facilitate a new life in the 21st century.
A very special choice to celebrate a bond, 100% ethical and original, the whole piece has a heart and soul which is palpable and one which we very much enjoy; privileged as we are to have a small place alongside the many other lives passed her by..

In most case the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
