Our Sales Policy is designed to clarify what you can expect from us, and give you the reassurance to make purchasing from us a pleasure.
Re-sizing of rings: Most of our rings can be sized to fit. Once a ring is resized a refund cannot be offered but an exchange is possible. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here.
Condition of previously worn items: Where an item is stated to be antique or second-hand, this does in most cases mean that the item has been worn before. Many antique or second-hand pieces will show some wear commensurate with their age or have been subject to some restoration work or repair over time. Where this is so, it will be pointed out. We carefully inspect every item on our site, and make a fair and professional judgement on whether its condition is Reasonable, Good, Excellent, Perfect or Mint.
Description of items: Each piece offered has been described and represented as accurately as possible. Due to the variations in monitors and the utilization of different browsers and systems, the specific colours of items can only be approximated. Our antique jewellery items are one-of-a-kind, for which we are unable to offer replacements or exchanges.
Our One Year Guarantee: For your peace of mind, we give you a one year guarantee on all jewellery purchased from us. This covers you for problems which have occurred after purchase due to a fault with the piece. These would include for example; a stone falling out shortly after a ring sizing or a split sizing solder join with no indication of damage to the piece elsewhere.
Our guarantee does not cover accidental damage caused during wear, and we advise our customers to insure their jewellery against accidental damage. For instance; a stone is missing and there is visible damage or signs of knocks, such as misshapen metal work or missing claws.
Insurance: We advise you to insure your jewellery, either on your home owners’ policy or through a specific policy should you wish.
Jewellery repairs: Please note that any item of jewellery purchased from us is no longer guaranteed by Fetheray when after purchase, a jeweller not employed by us has worked on it. This applies to stone setting, ring sizing and any major or minor repairs.
Privacy: Your personal information will not be used in any form of junk marketing. We will not pass on personal information to other companies. We will not contact you with offers from our site.
Returns: If, when an item has been purchased online, and you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a refund (exclusive of shipping/insurance charges) in line with Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Exemptions include items which we have tailor-made or personalised, sized or adjusted in any way for you, discounted and layaway items.
International Returns: The customer is responsible for arranging to have the item(s) returned to us, and for any costs incurred. Please mark the package as ‘Return of sample merchandise, origin UK, item over 100 years old’. It is the responsibility of the international customer to label the returned package correctly as returned goods, so as to avoid any unneccessary charges when re-entering the UK. If there are any charges incurred for returned items, that are out of our control, such as import duties, then these will be deducted from the refund amount.
Customs charges and Import Tax: On international orders, the customer is responsible for all additional duties, taxes and/or tariffs that might incur.
