Dating to 1919 with a full hallmark applied at the Chester Assay Office in that year, this gorgeous and unusual antique dress ring features a lovely example of Dendritic Agate with delightful seaweed like inclusions...
Dendritic agate is a chalcedony quartz stone in the agate family, also called “tree agate” due to its branch-like inclusions that create striking natural patterns.
In this case there is some waviness to the top surface of the Agate which dates to when it was polished by the lapidarist. Mounted in a fancy setting of 9ct Gold with scrolls to the shoulders and beaded ornamentation to the edging. So pretty!
Ring Size: K or 5.25 but easy to alter to suit
Metal: 9ct Yellow Gold hallmarked, the maker's mark is alongside but sadly we've been unable to trace it
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
