Circa 1870's, a gorgeous and romantic antique Ruby and Pearl dress ring, hand crafted to a beautifully naturalistic design and decorated with the prettiest old hand cut pink Rubies (which are very special as they likely come from the old Burmese mines) and creamy lustred Pearls.
Perhaps once a precious gift between lovers or friends, rings such as this are becoming scarcer by the day and when we do find them they often show the signs of wear as this piece does. We've left the worn shank as is for the photos but rest assured we'll replace this section on undertaking a size adjustment.
Stones: natural Rubies and Pearls
Metal: 15ct yellow Gold, tested but unmarked as was the custom at the time
Ring Size: N or 6.5 as is but suitable to alter for fit. This is a free service, just leave a message on your order form. Please note, the thinned band at the back will be replaced for a more sturdy section upon sizing.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
