We are a little unsure as to which extravagant bird this captures, but we can say that we are entirely captivated by the magnificence of this creation! Superior to the general run of Marcasite jewellery, this piece is hand crafted and many hours and much care and attention has been expended upon it... such intricate detail to the depiction and shaping of each layer of feathers.
Nicely weighty and of Solid Silver which has developed a beautifully darkened patina which makes the glint of the faceted Iron Pyrite (Marcasite) shimmer so gorgeously. He has red glass eyes which add to the character and the wingspan is two inches and it two and a half inches from the base to tail feather. The large cultured Pearl is a later replacement but definitely has the perfect kind of hazy lustre.
Measurements: 5cm wingspan (!) and 6cm length
There is indecipherable Continental assay stamp to the pin.
