A true delight, this vintage flower cluster Sapphire and Diamond engagement ring dates to the earlier part of the 20th century and has been lovingly hand crafted in every aspect. A romantic notion behind the design, the flower symbolising eternal love.
The gems themselves are of superior quality: the cushion shaped Sapphire a deep velvetty blue and likely untreated: the natural Diamonds cut to a most wonderfully scintillant old European pattern which produced spectacularly glittery stones. They are both clean and white under the loupe.
The nicely milgrain beaded setting makes for a crisp neatness and the whole of the sepalled underbezel was cleverly cut out by hand. Very fine and a super choice for originality and ethical reasons,
Stones: natural Sapphire and Diamonds. The Diamonds measure at around 0.04ct each judged in the setting and so around 0.40ct. The Sapphire around half a carat
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold to the band with a workshop stamp '18CT' inside the band; Platinum to the setting of the gems
Ring Size: L and a half or 6 as is but suitable for re-sizing
Measurements: the flower measures 10mm by 12mm
In most case the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
