A fantastically sparkly little vintage Diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century and a very pretty find! in the traditional 'half hoop' made popular in the late Victorian era and a classic favourite ever since, this piece is all original and nicely shaped to hug the finger. The Diamonds are a gorgeous quality, being white and glittery, each cut everso slightly differently from the other in the Old European way... this adding extra individuality.
The olden Diamonds were recycled when this ring was made and are delightfully all cut by hand with simple tools in the Old European way; each a unique marvel unto itself and with a charm you'll not see in modern laser cut Diamonds.
The fine crown style Platinum gallery is all cut by hand and is shaped to fit the 18ct Yellow Gold tapered band. Always special and ethically sound as a choice, you'll never see another exactly the same!
The Diamonds measure at 10: 16: 35: 16: 10ct and so a combined weight of around 0.85ct judged with a Schindler gauge.
Stones: hand cut natural Diamonds measured at 0.87ct with a Schindler Gauge in the setting
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold and Platinum to the setting. Both marked inside the band '18CT PT'.
Ring Size: The ring size is a 'P' or '7.5' but we can around three or so sizes each way for free. She will sit neatly alongside a wedding band.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
