Dating to the 1920's/30's/40's, this incredible vintage ring celebrates a cabochon of natural Chinese Carnelian which is mounted in Gilded Silver bordered with extremely fine plaited and woven filigree. Traditional craftwork which has been honed to an exacting precision and artistry down the centuries, it is a true wonder!
The shape follows the naturalistic form of the gemstone which has been highly polished to a wonderful sheen and all is quite captivating. Associated with healing energies, and in Chinese culture the stone represents love, peace and good fortune.
This piece shows Polish Import marks to the reverse band so it has travelled some miles and surely has a story to tell..
The ring size is adjustable as the band is open and can be tweaked to fit, but as is measures as an N or 6.75.
