A truly unique and special little ring; modest and entirely hand crafted, (it has a maker's mark which is partially obliterated) there is a full hallmark applied at the Chester Assay Office in 1900. A simple design which shows the feature gem beautifully; it is fairly likely that this stone was recycled from an earlier creation. A precious little ring to gift to your fond one, we are captivated by her complete and harmonious charm.
Chrysoberyl has a distinctive and fascinatingly pretty limey yellow green hue which once seen you will always know...
Chrysoberyl was first officially discovered and named in 1789/90 by German geologist Abraham Gottlob Werner, who recognized it as distinct from beryl, though it was often mistaken for or called "chrysolite" (also used for peridot).
