Antique Georgian Natural Deep Orange Coral Bead Necklace

A flattering strand of antique hand carved Georgian period natural Mediterranean Coral beads. A very lovely 19 inches in length and finished with a new 18ct yellow gold safety clasp, all has been restrung and is knotted each bead. A classic expression of beauty; the gorgeous bloom of warm colour adds a glow to the complexion, these beads would most likely have been bought in Italy on the Grand Tour and proudly worn as a touch of undeniably ancient style as beads such as these were worn by the Etruscans, Romans and can be found in tombs all around the Mediterranean. 

Each bead measures half a centimetre in diameter.
