A beautifully appointed vintage filigree Crystal Opal dress or cocktail ring dating to the early 20th century and quite possibly of American origin as this type of filigree was a speciality and very popular in the 1920's, an expression of Art Nouveau influences.
The shape of the whole is gorgeous on the hand and the lacily lovely design picked out in filigree to the side panels and an intricate web of beauteousness to frame the feature rainbow Crystal Opal which displays the whole range of colours in a rolling wonder on turning the hand. It has strong sunset oranges and cloudily oceanic blue/greens which cast waves across the gem.
Stones: natural Crystal Opal likely Australian origin.
Metal: 14ct yellow Gold (tested but unmarked).
Ring Size: O and a half or 7.25 as is but suitable to alter for fit. This is a free service, just leave a message on your order form.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
