A quirky and highly individual statement antique Georgian necklace of two highly decorative Pinchbeck watch fobs upon a fancily textured Pinchbeck belcher link chain. Once worn as THE most fashionable accessory of the day, the two fobs are decorated in the way popular at the time with ribbed and chevroned markings to the metal; each set with an engraved black glass; the smaller reading 'Mary Anne', the larger with a cherub complete with quiver of arrows and the motto 'Dieu et vous'.
They have lived together for the past two hundred years on the chunky ouroboros split ring and are in fabulous condition.
Metal: Pinchbeck (the fobs) and Gold Plated base metal (the ouroboros split ring and chain). The chain is a slightly rosier colour than the bright 18ct yellow Gold plated fobs and ouroboros split ring.
Size: the chain measures 18 inches and closes with a screw clasp. the fobs measure one inch tall each. The screw clasp is likely a replacement.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
