A unique and very special vintage ring set with a rare antique Indian coin; likely a custom piece made to show off this collectors coin in heavy solid 18ct Gold.
We believe we have correctly identified this coin as being Rudrasimha I who was a Western Kshatrapa ruler, reigning from 178 to 197 CE over the central and western parts of India including present-day states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. He was the son of Rudradaman I and grandson of Jayadaman.
We have consulted with a colleague who is a coin expert and found examples of this coin online and it is listed as follows: INDIA, WESTERN KSHATRAPAS: Rudrasimha I (c.178-197 CE) Silver drachm, as Kshatrapa. Dated (!) 111. VERY RARE, CHOICE and IMPORTANT!

We are hoping to find a very special and appreciative new home for this unusual piece as it seems to be a very clear and clean example of such a coin.
Metal: 18ct Yellow Gold stamped to the inside of the band alongside a maker's mark 'W&P we've not been able to trace so far
Ring Size: the size is a 'P' or '7.5' as is but some adjustment is possible.
