A sensational and very unusual vintage hand cut Sapphire engagement ring dating to around the 1940's and with the tiny twinkles of Diamonds to the fancy stepped shoulders. A unique and ethically sound choice for the vintage gal; all is finely crafted by hand in the Art Deco style with geometric precision to the hand engraved shoulders and feature double claws cosseting the fabulously sparkling Sapphire.
This very special Sapphire weighs over a carat and has the most immensely beautiful and bright glitter to the pristine blue depths, quite magical to observe on each movement of the hand, all hand faceted, quite likely in Sri Lanka where many of the Sapphires originated at the time as the mines were then under British rule.
In 18ct White Gold which was the new fashion at the time, this is marked inside the band with a workshop stamp. The ring size can easily be adjusted to suit if you leave a message on your order form and we can polish the metal up more brightly if you'd like.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
