An antique late Victorian Sapphire and old hand cut Diamond dress ring. An unusual design which speaks to the imagination of the jeweller, the whole has a striking impact and expresses a romantic ideal.
Crafted by hand in 18ct yellow Gold, the large central Sapphire is of a beautifully deep velvetty blue shade, one which was associated with Royalty at the time, and we imagine this jewel worn with sumptuous crumpled velvets and silks. The combined weight of the olden hand faceted Diamonds we measure at around half a carat judged using a Schindler gauge and the Sapphire over two carats. The ring size is an 'O and a half' or '7.25' and we'd rather not alter due to the style of setting and width of the ring.
We will of course provide a valuation for insurance purposes with this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
