A super all original antique Victorian 'Albert' watch chain fully hallmarked for 1892 on the T bar. Measuring 13 inches in length, the link is pleasingly decorative, creating a statement look when worn. Every link is stamped and the whole has a stunning greyed patina, but can be polished up to a nice shiny finish if so desired. The fob end holds a silver medal which could be engraved to the reverse to personalise...
This watch chain would have been everyday wear at the time it was made but their wear died out after wristwatches became fashionable in the 1920's. Fortunately this piece survived and is all ready to wear for a bit of quirky traditional style and capture admiring glances whenever worn.
The fob dates to 1932 and so is a later addition. It has a Birmingham hallmark and makers mark J.W.T, a rose Gold centrepiece and a frame of shamrocks.
