Dating to the 1880's or thereabouts, a most precious antique Victorian era Silver locket. Symbolism was all at the time this piece was crafted and it is very finely and lavishly hand engraved with a design of Ivy leaves (symbolising the ties of family) making it a most meaningful and special gift. With elements of the Archaeological Revival style which was popular at the time seen in the bobbles to the edge this is a really cutely sized version of the larger lockets from the day.
It retains an original photograph and frame to keep your keepsakes safe.
Size: the locket measures 2.5cm lengthwise and 2cm across. The Silver belcher chain measures 26 inches but can be shortened to suit.
Metal: Silver tested but not marked as such
