Once a most precious and treasured antique Edwardian era Silver locket; nicely oval shaped, which feels comforting in the hand as we believe a locket should.
Symbolism was all at the time this piece was crafted and it is lavishly hand engraved in the Arts & Crafts fashion with a design of stylised Ferns, 'Ferns for Sincerity' and Ivy leaves representing the 'ties of family' making it a most meaningful gift...
It retains both original frames to keep your keepsakes safe. Please note there are some slight dinks to the reverse (likely caused when engraving) which can be felt but are covered by the design.
Size: the locket 3cm by 2cm across and the Silver belcher chain measures 24 inches
Metal: Silver hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office in 1908. Made by William Oakley Davies of Warstone Parade in Birmingham
