A lovely quality vintage 18ct yellow Gold intaglio signet or seal ring in the classic oval style which is wonderfully familiar on the hand and ornamented with an intaglio carved to represent belief and heritage. Hand carved by a skilled artisan, the intaglio which is highlighted handsomely by the differing colours in the naturally layered Sardonyx shows a bull's head and neck couped on a torse above the ribboned motto SUBLIMIORA SPECTEMUS which translates as 'Let us seek higher things'
The motto encourages striving for greater ideals and aspirations and we have found it associated with a number of different families, whilst the bull's head is associated itself with a number of different family names.
Metal: 18ct Yellow Gold hallmarked in London in 1935. Weighs 6.57 grams
Ring Size: A size 'L' or '5.34' as is but we're able to alter somewhat, however more than three sizes may entail a further cost as we add in Gold.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
