This is a ring with an unmistakable air of history which is quite enchanting and instantly grabs at the heart strings. The antique ovalesque shaped old brilliant cut Diamond is lovingly plump and just glows with warm sparkle against the sweet buttercup shaped setting. Such a romance!
The shoulders are serenely curved in a tapered shape all beautifully patinated and leading down to the band which is marked to the inner rim of the band as 18ct Gold as is the Birmingham Assay Office letter 'Z' for 1874. there is also a maker's mark 'E.G' inside but we've been unable to trace the workshop.
We would say that the Diamond weighs an estimated 0.30ct.
The ring size measures at a 'N' or '5.25' but we can easily alter to suit.
