A vision of loveliness, this vintage mid century Diamond solitaire engagement ring is in wonderful, barely worn condition and a beautiful example of the refined 'tiffany' style solitaire which became popular in the early years of the last century.
Every aspect of this ring is hand shaped: from the olden hand faceted Old European Cut Diamond, to the hand sawn coronet gallery in which it sits. Very much a rarity nowadays when time is so costly and artisan work much less common. The Diamond is gorgeously white and clean; it was cut in what we now refer to as the 'old European' way, with more precise faceting than had been known before... this leading to a more dazzling sparkle.

Stone: natural hand cut Diamond measuring at 0.40ct judged in the setting with a Schindler Gauge.
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold to the band and Platinum to the setting of the stones. Marked inside the band with a workshop stamp '18CT' 'PLAT'
Ring Size: J or 4.75 as is but suitable for alteration. Simply leave us a message with your requirements on your order form
In most case the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
