THE sweetest little token for a dog mumma! Dating to the latter 19th century, this superior example has a wonderful 3D presence and remains in excellent condition. Complete with his collar, this little terrier has quite the loveliest charm. Mounted in 18ct yellow Gold, we have added an 18ct Gilded Silver chain.
Essex Crystal is a form of reverse intaglio carving in Rock Crystal which is then painted to create a life-like image. Animals were favoured subjects and the art form was popular until the 1930's or so.

Stones: Essex Crystal placed over mother of Pearl shell or foil.
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold plated Silver cable link chain and 18ct yellow Gold (marked '18CT' to the reverse) to the mount of the crystal.
Measurements: the chain measures 18 inches; the pendant 14mm diameter.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
