An adorable vintage Diamond solitaire engagement ring in the classic rosebud style which was popular in the 1950's.
All hand crafted in Platinum and 18ct yellow Gold to a slender model with tiny hand engraved ornamentation to each shoulder, the beautifully glittery hand cut Diamond is very lovely indeed. Nicely white and very sparkly throughout, it is of an older cut so would have been recycled at the time of making. Elevated with an architectural interest which is particular to rings of this period; never two the same as all were hand crafted with intricate skill to the imagination of the artisan jeweller. With pleasing proportions from every view; a design both complete and romantic.
Buying vintage is the best choice for ethical reasons and has the added benefit of originality and that special allure which all hand crafted art has.
Stones: Natural Diamond. A hand-cut measured at 0.35ct judged in the setting using a Schindler Gauge.
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold to the band and Platinum to the setting (marked 18CT PLAT)
Ring Size: R and a half or 8.75 as is but can easily be altered to suit
In most case the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
