A very splendid display of the craft, this impressive antique Victorian locket brooch once held a special place in her owner's heart as a token of remembrance. A story lost in time but which reaches back to the mid 19th century, the hair is skilfully shaped to form a feather'd cornucopia ornamented with tiny curls of Gold wire and miniature Seed Pearls, all laid upon milk glass. The initials worked in Gold thread read 'C.E.C'. Framed in 15ct Gold with a large chain link motif this is a large piece and measures 7cm by 5.5cm fastening with a traditional 'C' clasp. The locket back shows the original watered Silk insert. Please inspect closely as there is a Gold thread which has come loose.
