The whole in lush 15ct yellow Gold, this pairing of a gorgeous quality decorative 'fancy' link chain and a charming floral Victorian Seed Pearl and Diamond pendant which also doubles as a brooch is spectacular! 15ct Gold was used solely in Britain between 1854-1932, and to the reverse of the pendant it is marked 'HG&S' for Henry Griffith and Sons of Birmingham. This particular iteration of the mark indicates it was made before 1898. Read further about the history of the company here. The floral star is nicely made and can be worn as a show-stopping brooch too, the pendant bale folding down and the pin nicely shielded to protect the wearer from injury! The beautiful creamy natural Sea Pearls are set around an old hand cut Diamond, the whole layered to create a 3D effect. The chain too is very nice quality with a soft fluidity and weight of 11.1 grams, and closed measures just short of 19 inches, the chunky bolt ring serving as a holder for the pendant, but it could also be worn alone or with other pendants.
