A handsome and nicely sized antique Georgian fob seal set with a rock crystal, this hand carved the most charming of epithets; 'Be this your guide' with an image of a book (which we assume is the bible) but could be any book you choose to live by.....
Ornamented with all the delightful Georgian stylery which we love, the central brass base (for strength) still has the residue of 18ct Gilding.
The very most fashionable of items at the time, fobs were worn by both men and women, often tucked at the waist. This would make a touchingly sentimental gift for your loved one.
Stones: Hand carved Rock Crystal laid over foil.
Metal: Base metal with a faded Gold plating. The chain is Silver gilded with 18ct Gold and measures 18 inches.
Measurements: 2.4 cm high.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
